Steven Levin

Steven Levin

Chair

Steven is CEO of Quilter plc. He has deep industry knowledge, having worked in asset management, investments, platform and distribution roles. Steven joined the Group in 1998, the Executive Committee in 2011 and the Board in November 2022 when he was appointed as Chief Executive Officer. He has played a leading role in delivering several high-profile strategic initiatives for the Group, including the implementation of Quilter’s new investment platform and supporting the development of Quilter’s ESG proposition. As Head of Affluent, Steven focused on bringing Quilter’s Platform and Investment Solution businesses together to operate in a more customer centric manner with our Advice business. Steven’s broad industry and leadership experience allows him to effectively drive strategic delivery. Steven is a qualified Actuary and Chartered Financial Analyst.

Professor Richard Breen

Independent

Richard Breen is Professor of Sociology and a Fellow of Nuffield College, University of Oxford.  He works on social mobility and on problems of inferring causal relations in non-experimental data. He recently co-edited Education and Intergenerational Social Mobility in Europe and the United States (Stanford University Press, 2020).  He is a Fellow of the British Academy, a Member of Academia Europaea, and a Member of the Royal Irish Academy.

Tim Childe

Treasurer
Tim is an executive at Quilter Cheviot, the investment management arm of Quilter plc. Tim has over 30 years’ experience in investment management and is a Chartered Fellow of Chartered Institute for Securities & Investments (CISI). Tim is authorised by the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) and also a member of the Foundation’s Investment Committee.

Penny Cole

Human Resources Director

Penny has over 15 years’ experience at Quilter. During her time with the Group Penny has held multiple senior HR roles including Head of HR for our UK and International Platform businesses. She has worked across multiple jurisdictions and geographies and led significant complex people change; most recently as People Transformation Director where she spearheaded the externally recognised and multi award winning Hello Tomorrow programme.

Penny has extensive experience across the spectrum of HR including Remuneration, Culture, Talent & Succession, Organisational Design, Learning and Development and HR Operations. She has worked across multiple industries and sectors including Telecommunications, Third Sector and Financial Services.

Penny specialises in large scale people change, cultural transformation, people experience and organisation effectiveness.

Philippa Foster-Back CBE

Independent

Philippa began her career in Corporate Treasury and Finance, prior to her appointment as Director of the Institute of Business Ethics in 2001 from which she stepped down in April 2020.

Philippa was previously Group Treasurer at EMI Group, Group Finance Director at DC Gardner Group and Group Treasurer at Bowater after beginning her financial career at Citibank. Philippa has also held a number of trustee, major review committee and non-executive roles throughout her career. She is a past President of the Association of Corporate Treasurers (ACT).

In 2006 she was awarded the OBE for services to the Ministry of Defence in her capacity as NED and Chair of the Defence Audit Committee and in 2014 she was awarded the CBE for services to UK Antarctic Heritage. In 2018 she was awarded an Honorary Doctor of Law from University of Warwick and in 2020 an Honorary Doctorate of the Open University.

Stephen Gazard

Stephen brings a wealth of corporate experience having held numerous senior leadership roles in the wealth management industry.  In addition Stephen has been actively involved in the charity sector on the Board of various Meningitis charities and is ideally placed to assist in driving the Foundation forward.

Tosin James-Odukoya

Tosin James-Odukoya

Head of Diversity, Inclusion & Wellbeing

Tosin joined Quilter as the Head of Inclusion, Diversity and Talent Acquisition in June 2021.

Prior to joining Quilter, Tosin was the diversity, inclusion and recruitment business partnering lead at GSMA, the global trade body for mobile network operators, where she led the drive for greater equality and inclusion by designing recruitment practices to improve diversity across gender, race and other demographics. She was the first person to hold the position and implemented a range of initiatives, both practical and experiential to support the progression of people from underrepresented backgrounds.

Tosin’s career in HR started via a summer internship in 2006 at Société Générale via the Brokerage, the social mobility charity, her experience also includes HR roles at Alexander Mann Solutions, the New York Stock Exchange and HSBC. Tosin holds a degree in Technology and Enterprise Management from Aston university.

In recognition of her efforts, Tosin was shortlisted for Advocate of the year at the Women in IT awards in 2020.

Jennifer Piper

Head of The Quilter Foundation

Jennifer is Head of The Quilter Foundation. She is responsible for developing the Quilter Foundation’s strategy. She works closely with its charitable partners and colleagues, ensuring we make a significant impact, both at a strategic level and with our local community grants.

Harvey Rathore

The Quilter Foundation Engagement Lead

As Engagement Lead, Harvey works closely with our advisers and employees to inspire support for the Foundation. She manages the Foundation’s fundraising, volunteering and communications, ensuring we make an impact both internally and in the wider community.
