The Local Community Fund

The Quilter Foundation’s Local Community Fund is dedicated to supporting local charities that are making a tangible difference in the communities they serve. From creative arts, to conducting life-saving research on neurological conditions, our LCF charity partners are working tirelessly to achieve meaningful impact on the ground, supporting some of the most vulnerable children, young people and families in society.

Each quarter, Quilter employees and advisers nominate charities close to their hearts for a grant of up to £10,000 through the Local Community Fund. These charities are carefully reviewed and selected by our Community Investment Panel.

Our impact so far:

  • Funded 49 charities across the UK and Channel Islands
  • More than £365,000 donated to Local Community Fund charities
  • Over 25,000 number of children, young people and families reached through LCF funding

Our Charity Network

The Quilter Foundation is proud to work alongside a diverse network of charities. We are a responsible funder, offering a unique relationship to our charity partners leveraging Quilter’s expertise, resources and engagement. By providing volunteering opportunities, skills-based support, and events, we empower our partners to enhance their impact and create enriching experiences for both them and their beneficiaries.

Some of our 2024 events:

Behavioural science webinar

We hosted a webinar in collaboration with behavioural science experts, Cowry, for our charity network to broaden their understanding of how behavioural science techniques can be used to attract funders and enhance fundraising strategies.

“Thank you so much for the whole session, it was absolutely fantastic and very timely ahead of our development of our fundraising campaigns including Christmas. It is really fantastic to see companies such as yourselves offering support and the expertise of this nature, so kudos to you all at the Foundation for such a wonderful initiative.” Charity Partner

The Genie’s Wish’s Wishmas Party

We funded The Genie’s Wish’s Wishmas Party at Hamleys and invited beneficiaries from other charity partners to attend, creating a magical experience for children and families from a range of our charities.

“Thank you for choosing Hannah to go to the Hamleys Wishmas party. Hannah had a great time and loved exploring all the toys in a non-busy environment and seeing all the different characters and Father Christmas. Where the store was closed, it made the experience so enjoyable and relaxing. If it wasn’t for Quilter doing such an event Hannah wouldn’t have experienced going to Hamleys toy store”. Parent of a child that attended the Wishmas event

Recognition and networking event

We organised an end of year recognition and networking event at our London office, providing our partners with the opportunity to connect with other charities and key internal colleagues across the business.

“Thank you to our generous funders at the Quilter Foundation for a fabulous end of year celebration! Quilter is such a unique, friendly organisation that puts person-centred relationships at the heart of everything they do.” Charity Partner

By creating these long-term relationships, we are not only funding immediate solutions but also helping our charities build capacity and sustainability for the future. Through our charity network, the Foundation is creating a ripple effect of positive impact, empowering local charities to thrive and continue their necessary work.
