Engagement

At Quilter, our colleagues and advisers play a central role in driving the Foundation forward. Whether though fundraising volunteering or championing our charity partners, their dedication helps us to achieve even more to the causes we support.

Walking for a Cause – Audit team Thames Walk

Earlier this year, members of Quilter’s Audit team embarked on a challenging walk along the Thames Path to raise vital funds for CALM (Campaign Against Living Miserably) and The Quilter Foundation, in honour of two colleagues who had sadly passed away. The team demonstrated incredible determination, covering the equivalent of a half marathon and raising nearly £8,000 for both charities.

Stepping up

This year, Sarah Litton and Chloe Hargreaves, members of The Quilter Foundation’s charity community, set a remarkable example by organizing a charity trek. Their initiative united the Distribution senior leadership team for a meaningful cause, raising vital funds for The Quilter Foundation and Bury Hospice. The team embarked on an impressive 15-mile walk from Winchester & District Young Carers to Quilter House in Southampton, successfully raising £5,650 for both charities.

3 peaks challenge

This summer, our Head of External Communications, Tim Skelton-Smith, embarked on the thrilling 3 Peaks Challenge to raise funds for The Quilter Foundation. This daunting adventure required conquering the UK’s three highest peaks—Ben Nevis, Scafell Pike, and Snowdon—all within 24 hours! Despite facing harsh temperatures and adverse weather conditions, Tim triumphed, completing the challenge in just 23 hours and raising nearly £1,500 for the Foundation.

Taking on the Three Peaks Challenge was incredibly tough, especially with the adverse weather conditions – minus 10 degrees and a whiteout at the top of Ben Nevis. Despite these challenges, I am delighted to have completed it and honoured to raise funds for the Quilter Foundation. Its excellent work helps young people across the UK, and I am proud to support such a worthy cause.
