Skills and experience: Kal Atwal brings deep experience across financial services and broader commercial businesses, with a career focused on customer-led strategy and leading organisations through growth and digital transformation. She spent 16 years at BGL Group Limited, where she held a range of senior roles, including founding Managing Director of comparethemarket.com and, most recently, Group Director, Brand-led Businesses and Group Strategy. In this role, she was responsible for the group's strategic direction and brand development. As a Non-executive Director, she has previously served on the boards of Admiral Financial Services Limited, The Royal London Mutual Insurance Society Limited and WH Smith PLC. She has also served as Chair of SimplyCook and Executive Chair of funkypigeon.com, where she led the successful sale of the businesses. Her deep customer insight and strategic perspective brings significant value to Quilter as it continues to pursue its ambition of becoming a recognised customer champion.
